Comments: Freeservers was the best hosting choice online, however, they have experienced a steady decline. I had a freeservers website for three years, during which time they have decreased their maximum file size to 800k, made ftp a pay service so you have to use their html "file manager", and added larger banners and pop-ups. After three years, they deleted my account without warning stating that it violated their user agreement. My last updated stated that I was\"redesigning my website because the layout looked like some haggard warez site". I am left to assume that they now have a keyword bot that will delete your site if you use the wrong keywords on it. And there is no appeal process unless you want to PAY to talk to customer support. This service has become very dodgy. I wouldn't recommend it.

Comments: I have gone through freeservers for my domain name www.reddogdesigns.net, I have had it for a year but lately for the last week I haven't been able to see my website, my members area and my email, which is important to me. The weaknesses are, are that if you are having trouble there's no way to get help. I found a link to send them an email but they sent back saying that they cant send that email of mine onto them. So I have to some how do it myself but I cant because its in my members area, which I cant access. I've sent 3 emails recently to another email address under billing problems (because that's all I could find) and still I have no reply. Freeservers lacks customer support which is a shame cause Freeservers has been working really well for me.

Comments: my experience with freeservers I have a site with www.freeservers.com. My site is “http://naa.8k.com. I am currently on the free plan. I just wanted to say thank you for making a website so easy!! I have another site with a different company and was always complaining to my friend about it when he gave me freesavers address. Well I got my site up and running in less than an hour. I wanted to say how impressed I was and I will DEFINETLY tell my friends about this site. Thanks, Melissa

Comments: I have had several Freeservers sites and find them to be just the ticket my needs. Sometimes I need to put up a temporary website which I only maintain for a short while for a variety of purposes. Freeservers allows me to do this easily and...Free! For these purposes, I generally don't need much space, don't need dedicated e-mail boxes and I don't mind the banners and pop-ups. I am a realist and know that these services have to be paid for somehow. I'll look at a banner ad for the convenience...if there's something of interest, I will click through. The sitebuilding tools are incedibly easy.

Comments: The site really nice for practically everything. They had more than one option for the sub-domain name. Another good thing is that they provide areas for pictures.

Comments: Simlpy it doesn`t work and this thing ain`t telling You why it doesn`t work. I did everything they said and still connection was refused info: I used WS_ftpPro I`m behind proxy - bad experiences lately. I`m dissapointed. Just lost valuable time. Jack

Comments: This company is poor in providing web space and hosting. When you try to put an image on another site from the freesevers account, it says that the image cannot be placed on another web site exept your freesevers web pages. Also, I don`t like how the site builder is and the file manager. Plus, freesevers doesn`t provide ftp access. Though the prices for upgrading are low, I still rate this web hosting company 1 for poor severice.

Comments: I started with the free package, everything seemed OK but I needed to upload some files that exceded the free quota so I paid for the basic service to be able to upload my files which keep disappearing from my site (I suppose they want me to keep paying to upload the same files over and over) There is no response from customer support.

Comments: I`ve been with Freeservers for several years now. Usually, there are no problems. However several times, over the years, I`ve gone to my site to discover that it wasn`t there. I could log in to my account, but the site wouldn`t show to anyone. I`d email technical support, never get a response, but my site would go back up. However yesterday I went to my site. It was up earlier in the day, but last evening, it was down. I couldn`t even log into the account. So I tried to contact tech support, but that`s impossible to do if you can`t even log in. I finally found a link to contact customer service (mostly for folks who are interested in joining Freeservrs), and hoped that they would forward my email on. Which they did. I finally got a response back telling me that my account was disabled due to phishing and I should contact their abuse email account. Which I`ve done (although I`ve yet to receive a response). My biggest complaint at this point is why didn`t anyone from Freeservers contact me before disabling my entire account? They have an alternate email address for me (had to provide that when I signed up). I`m very unhappy with the level of technical and customer support they provide, and will be looking for new hosting immediately.

Comments: Using the free site and http://twoplus.4t.com It has been reliable and easy to use and administer. Pros: It has easy setup for an initial site. If you access folders directly twoplus.4t.com/images you get a page, and can generate thumbnails. Has email forwarding. Tools are logical and well laid out. Cons: Pages get automatically reformatted for adds. Lots of pop-ups. They remove stuff using some rules that I don`t understand.

Comments: I have hosted two websites on Freeservers for several years now. I recently upgraded to 5 megs, which I wouldn`t have done had I not been very satisfied with their service. I must tell you, counter to some other comments, I am very impressed with their customer service. More than a return e-mail, I received not one, but two return phone calls to assure my satisfaction. My site encompasses html, xml, javascript. gif animation, large images and many flash macromedia video streams. They all perform beautifully on the site and their file manager suits my needs perfectly. Nothing in the mortal world is perfect and that includes web hosts. Let me tell you that Yahoo was a nightmare, which is why I cancelled my sites there and Go Daddy has boobs in places other than the Go Daddy Girls. Freeservers has proved much better for my needs as a webmaster than the other two services I used prior. That`s why it`s a 10 for me.
