Host Name: Angelfire Comments: I love Angelfire. Today I took photos of the USS Midway and had them up in 15 minutes. I wish that all website hosts had simple site builders as good as Angelfire.

Host Name: Angelfire Comments: Owned by lycos network. Angelfire like tripod has cut free accounts by more than half. They used to provide 50 megs of space. Now after bringing it to their attention that I had 50 megs and asked if the plus membership would be in addition to, they now inform me I have 30 days to reduce my storage to accomodate their slashing my space by 30 megs. They then expect me to still wish to pay for a plus account and only receive half of what I had before I mentioned it. They are not friendly and hard to contact for support. When I have contacted them, I have not received any "help".

Host Name: Angelfire Comments: They sell pop ups & banner ads all over YOUR FREE page to sites you would NOT allow no matter how much they would pay YOU which they don't
Reviewer Name: Not Happy Jan!
Host Name: Angelfire Comments: Where do I start?!! Just dont even bother with these guys because, like heck theyre gonna bother with you!! I have never been happy with angelfire, from day one. All you get are banners ALL over the IMPORTANT parts of your site that sell the most horrible, unapproving things! They dont listen when you need help but when you make a mistake, they're on you quick as flies to a pile of.... well you get my gist...!

Host Name: Angelfire Comments: Angelfire has highly intrusive banner adverts which can spoil the layout of pages and make them appear different from the way that they were designed. The 20MB disk space is not very generous considering the amount of ads displayed, and the only plus point is that the service is easy to use and reliable.

Host Name: Angelfire Comments: I joined Angelfire 2 years ago paying extra to rid myself of their numerous ads and pop-ups, then later adding on more storage space. The web shell is not all that good and I went to Frontpage 2003. When everything is okay, Angelfire is a host that seems to run good most of the time. But if something goes wrong, I`ve not seen a worst customer service. Currently I`ve not been able to log on to my site for three weeks. Been unable to email anyone, I get a `trouble ticket` that`s sends you a automated response. There`s no forum to go for help. And after 7 `trouble tickets` I finally got a response saying that the engineers are looking into the problem. No reply if I`m still being billed. Angelfire, nice and quiet, but heaven help if you have a problem.

Host Name: Angelfire Comments: While angelfire has been pretty stable and easy to use I have to agree that their customer service sucks big time. I am a paying customer and the response to my problem has been next to naught. If moving my entire site wouldn`t be a hassle they would have seen the last of me for quite some time. |
