Host Name: Bizhosting Comments: I am sorry to say my experience with Bizhosting has been dismal. I opted for the mid-level service which supposedly provides entry-level e-commerce at a good price. I signed on with Bizhosting because they are owned by the seemingly reputable About.com and offered a "too good to be true package" - it was. Their site-building wizard is bogus. It simply doesn't work. They don't even have enough speed to make their own wizards work! I needed to be up and running fast - didn't happen. And speaking of speed, their servers are incredibly slow! I tried tech support...no response. My solution: I called their hard to find phone number and downgraded my service to the free level. I'll put up with their banners until I can find a host that can provide decent customer service coupled with technology that actually works. So far, Apollohosting.com seems a likely candidate.

Host Name: Bizhosting Comments: When we first signed up with Bizhosting last summer, they were as advertised, a very good and economical web hosting company. Last December, however, things began to turn sour. First they could not pass all the information we required, to us on an order for our product. Since we deliver our product by e-mail we required the customer's e-mail address. Bizhosting suddenly stopped supplying us with that information. Next, they told us we would not receive complete order information until we were moved to their new system. We were unaware that there even was a new system until they mentioned this to us. They said we would be moved to their new system shortly after the first of the year. Instead is was the very end of January before they did so. Tests revealed that the order process through their new system did not work. Queries to their customer support were not answered for 13 days at which time they informed us that coming enhancements over the next few months would correct our problems. Since time is money, we decided not to hang our corporate hat on this promise (that quite honestly, sounded a lot like vaporware). Finally, they discontinued their old e-mail system (which had been working just fine) for a new system. We did all the tasks we had to so that we might be on their new system, only to find that, once they discontinued the old system, the new e-mail system did not work. We have decided to write Bizhosting off as a bad experience and find a new web host for our web site. We are sadder but wiser in the ways of web hosting companies.

Host Name: Bizhosting Comments: We had them for several years but the last two months Jan-Feb 2008 they have been the worst. the site keep going down, our email is not working correctly. I have tried calling them several times and stayed on hold for more than 20 minutes and finally hung up I do not know what changed but think twice before signing up now. Before 2008 it was a good service with good pricing

Host Name: Bizhosting Comments: I have used Bizhosting for over five years. I remember the building years with the hosting company- slow web exchange, slow system, little to nothing in customer service. They have added numerous add-ons to have a compltete ecommerce host for small business. 2007 was a good year with Bizhosting, little problems or hitches in the design and web building parts. Along comes January 2008, small problem areas croping up- again very little customer service. Febuary 2008 has been awful- from the first of February it has traveled down-hill. Now, they are holding you on tech support help lines 15-30 minutes (I don`t give-up easily) and always complete the call with `You will receive an email when the problem is fixed`. . .never happens. I`m going to hang on for a couple of more weeks- if the site does not improve, - I will be seeking another hosting company. And I feel bad about this, because it could be a top hosting company.

Host Name: Bizhosting Comments: SAD. That would just about cover all my feelings towards this once great host. 18 days and still no answer on when they might have their shopping cart functioning again. Seems to be an across the board issue as two of my websites have a nonfunctioning shopping cart. What started out as a socket error has progressed into (710) 06 - Error in transaction has occurred (HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden). Originally (2 weeks ago) They stated that it was on our merchant account side (ProPay). After contacting ProPay which is allot easier to do than Bizhosting, they have stated that the issue has been fixed. They also stated that the problem is on Bizhosting`s end. Once again after an eternity on hold, I was told the problem has been escalated to their Tech team , a standard answer for all issues. I`m holding my breath as I was told I couldn`t transfer the 200+ pages I have built on their system to another host. I once bragged about Bizhosting, and referred several people to them. Now, I`ll think twice before I speak of Bizhosting. P.S. Tech Support that is only open M-F? WTH is that?

Host Name: Bizhosting Comments: Absolutely the worst hosting service we have ever experienced! We have been with them for over 5 years now and we have stayed with them because of their very unique easy to use website builder that is built in to the service. Since Jan of 2008 everything has become a nightmare--emails do not work, the site is down more than it is up and the arrogance of the tech support knows no boundaries. 2-3 hour wait times for customer service only to be told that they are going to elevate this to their technicians etc... I have read the other complaints in this rant forum and I certainly mirror their complaints. Does anyone know of another similar service to these guys so that we can take ur domains and website off of bizhosting??

Host Name: Bizhosting Comments: No email response, contact phone number removed from site. Error messages resulting in failed checkout for every customer. ProPay is of no help. This company might as well turn out the lights.

Host Name: Bizhosting Comments: Please don`t do what I did. This miserable company has NO phone number to contact them anywhere on their site. No response to emails. NO WAY TO CANCEL SERVICE. They are automatically deducting $$$ every month from my account for dismal service. Now I have to CANCEL MY BANK CARD so that they don`t continue to do this!! They apparently have gone from lousy to disgraceful. |
