Comments: I would like to share my experiences with Portland.co.uk. I have been rather satisfied with their service. I agree with the opinion in your review. I'd like to add that in spite they offer Mysql access they do not allow applications like Movable Type (a weblog software) to be installed with a free accout. Besides their CGI lack some basic Perl modules like DB_File, HTML::Template or Image::Magick. Yes 15MB is definitely too little.

Comments: Recommendation: Testing PHP scripts? Need a stable and fast space? This site is for you. I hope they wont do the same as F2S and ask free users to leave the whole place...

Comments: Extras: Standard free offerings: PHP, CGI, MySQL, stats. Strengths: NO ADS, Unlimited e-mail addresses & forwarding; Weaknesses: Extremely slow (although they are supposedly working on this), unreliable (goes down seemingly randomly - although never for long). Need to 'apply' for MySQL database; almost non-existent support. In short, you get what you paid for. An excellent site for testing and prototyping but not for anything where reliability and speed is a concern.

Comments: Early in January 2005 my site came up 404. The member help forums also came up 404. Got no reply from e-mails sent to support. On Jan 19 2005 the 404 message said there was a temporary problem with some accounts that it was currently being worked on and would be fixed as soon as possible. It`s now Feb 24 and the sites are still down, the member forums are still down and still no responce from support.
